Demonstration Multipurpose School

DM School was inaugurated in Bhubaneswar in 1964 by the initiative and efforts of the then Chief Minister of Odisha, Sri Biju Patnaik. It is the first school of Odisha that was affiliated to CBSE. It was set up as one of the four laboratory units of Regional Institute of Education under NCERT, New Delhi, which are present in Ajmer, Bhopal and Mysore, each attached to their respective RIEs. The purpose of the initiative was to identify, analyze and research the significant obstacles that were coming up in school education and to serve as a centre for studies in curriculum development. It provides training from class-I to class- XII. This premier institute has been among the top schools of the city over the years.
